I agree there is no way that I can eat chips that have been fried in anything that has had batters made from flour fried in it. I can eat McDonalds chips as that is all they fry in the oil. I am finding that more and more resaurants are realising this and have seperate oils for GF people. The Brewers Apprentice in Palmerston North does, they can take longer and the oil needs to be heated but I don't care at least I can eat and know I will not get sick later.

No this raises an issue of cross contamination. While some people who are not hyper sensitive may eat these, others could have a serious allergic reaction.
