Are dairy products gluten free?

Are Yogurt and Sour Cream gluten free? or are there brands that are gluten free?

Plain Dairy Products are generally ok, its when you start buying ones that are flavoured or that have sauces in them where gluten has been used as a thickener that there can be a problem.

Being lactose intolerant I cant supply you with any brands, but I am pretty sure natural, yoplait are alright.

Check the lable for
gluten
hydrolised wheat protein
Wheat
or wheatened corn flour
wheat glucose

My gluten free flatmate always ate yogurt... so I am sure most brands are ok - just check the lable.

hey there, some dairy products are gluten free, and some are not, it all depend on who the manufacture of the food is and whether you are buying "lite" or not.(Often dairy products labeled as "lite" contain a gluten based thickener, due to the product not containing the fat to make the product thick). the best way to find out which products contain gluten is to read the ingredient and also have a look at this database www.mfd.co.nz this web site is run by the NZFSA and the Auckland District Health Board. This is one of the easiest ways to find gluten free goods esply if you new to the lifestyle.

Gluten Free Veggie Dip

I made gluten free veggie dip with natural plain yogurt, finely chopped radish, green onion, cucumber and a dash of dill and pinch of salt. It was delicious!
