Beer, Wine and Misc

I'm not a Kiwi, am I still allowed on this site?! :) 3 weeks ago I had a health crash which resulted in me finding out I'm Gluten Intolerant. I am much relieved for I'm just now starting to digest food! AMAZING that it doesn't absorb in the body!

I have all the gluten free flours stocked in my home. I am still getting itchy. It starts by my eyes, hairline and sometimes is all over. Is there a possibility I'm allergic to a gluten free flour? I have tapicoa, millet, quinoa, buckwheat (is NOT a wheat- made from the fruit, rhubarb) sorghum, potato flour and starch, white and brown rice flour. Anyone experiencing this?? I read all labels and avoid anything wheat (sauces, spices etc) even oats because I haven't figured out how Oats are GF Certified. How does THAT work??! Gluten is in the grain when it's growing!

The other is, I do not understand the GF beer and wine. How does that work that no Gluten is found in this when it's processed from wheat products?

Gluten and Other Allergies
by: GFK

Hi there,

Yeah you are more then welcome to use the site.

After going gluten free I found out i had a number of allergies and intolerances.

I found going on a low stress diet where I eliminated all stress foods and slowly added items in one by one was the easiest way to figure out what I could and could not eat.

Basically I took things back to natural products mostly meat and vege then slowly added a new item each week e.g potatoes, chickpeas, rice, eggs, milk, to figure out which products I was allergic/intolerant/sensitive to.

As a result I found out that to much starch makes me super tired, I really should not eat dairy as it effects my mood and eczema and that some raw vegetables give me a rash on my hands and lips (oral allergy syndrome) hope this helps :)
