I arrived Brisbane airport at 5pm Aussie time, and not having eaten since 11am nz time... meant I was starving, and the plane food did not offer anything suitable to a allergy prone kiwi.
After looking round the cafes on the bottom floor, I noticed orgran were the only think I could eat. Then venturing to the top floor, things were not looking much better, with fruit salad at a cafe, and a small piece of slice at Starbucks... the outlook was bleak, and I was starving. My advice to you is take food on the plane... and remember to eat it before you get off, they will not let you take it with you... that way you will have to run through the airport in a hungry rage only to be disappointed.
My sisters all managed to find pizza and a drink (I tried to convince them that they would feel ill, but they have not really taken the step towards a gluten free lifestyle.) All in all the airport did not impress me.
