How much gluten naturally occurs in raw chocolate/cacao?

Thank you.

Hi Charles,

Gluten is found in wheat, rye, barley and malt.

So I would assume that it does not occur naturally in chocolate / cocoa.

You may find companies add it in as a filler or thickener in certain products - or in chocolate products with flavoured centers etc.

hope that helps

Cadbury has a list on there site on which of their chocolate is gluten free. Of course i find because i am also lactose intolerant, I feel rather ill after eating it, However i don't get brain fog from lactose I just get rather upset stomachs and need to use the bathroom frequently for a day.
This is why a lot of doctor tell people gluten free to avoid chocolates as well.
