Newly diagnosed - visited the Gingerbead Man in Christchurch for first time this week. (Went late in day so a fair amount of fresh stuff was already sold). Got pizza bases (frozen) to take home to freezer. They come in packs of 2 for $6 (family size). Tried 2 at the weekend. Lovely and crisp, tasted like proper pizza and with a fair amount of tomato paste and all the usual cheese, peppers, chopped ham etc they were very good indeed.
Will be buying some more on next visit to ChCh , and may even get some of the smaller ones for individuals etc for snack/lunches. They seemed to have a good selection of GF baking there.
Also, locally in Ashburton - Sims Bakery on Main South Road. They do 3 types of GF bread, and some great choices of packs of biscuits/cookies. The bread is as good as you can get and the cookies really really good!. The loaves are only around $3.80 each which is great value for sliced GF fresh bread. It freezes very well too.
