Three years ago my mother gave up gluten. I found it a little confusing, because I was so used to her eating what we were eating.
I eventually gave up gluten for lent because I used to go to a Catholic school. Two weeks in I felt happier, not so tired. I went back on gluten for three weeks to get tested. The test came back negative but mum could not wait to get me off gluten because she said I was a little horror. My wrist which had been aching also cleared up. I'm still off gluten and I'm loving it, I've been off gluten for a year and I'm not even tempted by the other food, not when there's Hell's Pizza! And mum's orange and lemon cake!!! But Christmas is difficult - and so is Easter.
