Fabulous food and people

My family are all Gluten/Wheat intolerant. We eat here every weekend. The owners are fabulous and will adjust any dish off the menu to suit our dietary needs. Can't say enough about this fabulous cafe. Great to be able to eat out safely again.
Good coffee too!

Gluten Free - but sadly average...

We went to Cottage Cafe for brunch last weekend (Sept 09). Tons of Gluten Free options - which was great - however the food itself was not brilliant. Reminded me a bit of camp food, or a cheap hotel buffet style breakfast... Definitely points for trying, but I couldn't really recommend this place - not when there are other cafes (eg. Paper Moon Cafe at Albany Mall) that do fantastic brunch for the same price.

Brilliant Cafe in Browns Bay

As a diagnosed Coeliac 2 years ago I have found that eating out has been a major problem, even at my favourite Thai restaurants - having to check ingredients in the sauces and also that any noodles are made from Rice, not Egg. As far as eating in Cafes - that experience is in the too hard basket!!

However, discovering Cottage Cafe in Browns Bay has changed all that!!

The diverse menu caters for everyone - most of the dishes can be changed to GF. This means that all family members can eat there together - Coeliacs and non-Coeliacs.

The staff are lovely, and they also provide a Gluten free and Wheat free Product Order Form for customers.

This Cafe is the BEST!!!! Highly Recommended!!
