I was staying at a friends house up in Auckland this week, and I completely forgot to organise something to eat for breakfast before I went round to her house.
This is a potencial problem for many gluten free people and raises the question. How do you find a gluten free breakfast at a house where someone is not gluten free?
Well after a scavanger hunt through the pantry and freezer here is my solution... assuming they have a blender or food proccessor you are set.
Ingredients
1 Banana
1/2 Cup of Frozen Mixed Berries
3/4 Cup of Orange Juice
I am dairy free, but if you are not you could also add in a few spoons of gluten free yoghurt.
Method
Place all of the ingreidents into the blender and pulse until smooth.
Pour into a glass and serve immediatly. You will find the frozen berries will make it a nice cool drink for those hot mornings.
