A big group of us dined out here for lunch, I had never been here before - and everything I had heard them talking about on the radio sounded gluten packed.

The waiter (Hudson) was a really friendly warm guy, he told me to request anything from on the menu that was gluten free - and got them to make it up for me.

I ended up getting A kick ass omelette with hash browns and no toast. It was Huge.

Ended up costing around 20$ all up with a coffee.

Really great service & Big portions - I was pleased to see they were so accommodating.

Sorry Guy's.
But our experience was not so good with Sophie's Cafe.
The food was shocking!! And the place needed a good clean and re-paint.
We asked for a gluten free dish, which came out with normal bread under the steak, this was not good, as we booked ahead and said about gluten free for one member at our table. We said to the waitress about the bread and was told to leave the bread there and not eat it. Oh boy, some people have no idea.

We booked ahead for a lunch and said my husband was gluten free. (A birthday lunch)
He ended up with normal bread on his plate,and had to pick his way though it, if you like a heap of chips instead of fresh vegetables you will love it. Cheaper to go to the fish and chip shop.
There was a fly buzzing around, and not very clean. Pillows were dirty looking and staff just sitting by the window talking, we were not happy with Sophies and will not go back.
It cost $85 for 2 adults and 2 children.

ive been eating at sophies for years , talk about helpful , the staff go out of their way to get you what ask for ...yeah its hard going out when your gluten free ,but they had a whole heap of varieties and choices for me to pick from
