Gluten free meats can be hard to flavor... so heres a great little recipe I came up with in the weekend... Sometimes nothing beats a good steak, and this was defiantly a winner.
2 Serve
Steak And Vegetables
2 Medium Sized Porterhouse Beef Steak
1 Tablespoon of Butter
8 Mushrooms Sliced
1/4 Onion Diced
1/2 Teaspoon of garlic
Salad
4 Lettuce Leaves
1 Table Spoon of Spring Onion Herb
1 Table Spoon of Italian Basil
1/2 of an Avocado Chopped.
1/2 of a Spring Onion Diced
Feta
For The Salad
Tear the lettuce leaves into smaller pieces, top with chopped herbs, avocado, spring onion and dice up a small amount of feta, toss through and place on a plate.
For The Steak and Mushrooms
In a Small Pan Sear the outside of the steak to seal the juices in, then add the mushrooms, Garlic, Onion and Butter on the side and cook (great as you only dirty one pan). Once mushroom are soft and golden, and onion softens, and your steak is cooked to perfection remove and serve immediately.
I had mine with heaps of freshly cracked pepper and a little chipotle sauce (this is a gluten free sauce great for meats and marinades).
