Gluten Free Grain

by Cheryl
(Whangarei)

I've had trouble with some gluten free flours and have decided the safest thing would be to mill my own flour.

I've bought a stone mill and some buckwheat groats only to find quite a bit of wheat grain in with the buckwheat. I am picking through it and taking out the wheat then washing and drying it again before milling it.

This is very time consuming, so does anyone out there know a New Zealand farmer who grows buckwheat but does not grow any gluten containing grains.
