I also bought fish here and it tasted off! there is however a gluten free fish and chip shop at 1040 Colombo St, Edgeware, Christchurch which is pretty good.

I am GF and have MS, this was going to be a real treat, we traveled to Sumner for this, and booked into nice accomadation, this was goung to be a great Birthday weekend, BUT when we get to the Sumner Seafoods ( Odyssey Sea Foods ) the lady, Sue, has closed the Shop,at 6.15pm !! what !!! who we met on the street, she can only giggle at the fact she has closed before her 9pm closing time.
DO NOT RECOMMEND - EVER- TERRIBLE SERVICE ,AS I ALSO PHONED NEXT DAY, AND SHE STILL YHOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY
