I live in the Tasman area, and have only been gluten free for about a year now. After finding out that I had a gluten intolerance my life changed remarkably, I have a lot more energy, I can think clearly and I am keen to go out all the time.
One thing that is difficult now however is finding places to eat out, that was until I stumbled upon a gorgeous little cafe the other day called "up the garden path" the cafe is actually in Motueka, just as you enter Motueka on the right hand side, painted in warm hughes of Orange and burnt amber, it is a Gluten Free haven and a art lovers treasure chest.
They have main menu and a cabinet with tasty treats, where we choose our items from, I had a vegetarian gluten free muffin, and my husband had the keish also gluten free followed by some decadent caramel cake, that I refrained from eating ....just.
The coffee is great, the atmosphere relaxed and the small gallery and art the adorned the walls was good entertainment while waiting for the coffees to arrive.
All in all and great little spot in Tasman to dine, with a nice selection of Gluten free food (including cakes YUM!!) to choose from. I am definitely going again.
