Fresh Spring Asparagus is one of those delicious delicacies it took me a few years to learn to appreciate.
As I child I turned up my nose to the smell of tinned spinach.
In later years I have been lucky enough to sample fresh steamed spinach wrapped in bacon which I though was delicious.
Simply steam the stalks until tender and serve with bacon, feta and pine nuts for a delicious spring or summer salad.
