Fresh dates are not something I think to buy when at the supermarket. But the other day at my local supermarket there was a women offering tastings, so I tried one.
WHO KNEW DATES WERE SO DELICIOUS.
So I brought myself a box.
I know these delicious morsels are high in sugar but when I compare them to something else I might snack on when I need a sugar fix, they are clearly the healthier option (mainly because they only contain 1 natural ingredient "DATES" rather then numbers and artificial sugars like something I might buy off the shelf.
So if you are looking for a delicious, sweet and natural way to sugar your day... have a date.
These are also a great way for naturally sweetening your cooking.
I think I am going to make some date scones SO I will put up the recipe if things go according to plan (scones are one of the gluten free things I am scared to bake due to past failure.)
