My daughter has extremely severe celiac disease.
Two weeks ago she accidentally picked up her husbands water bottle instead of her own and drank from it.
He had just eaten regular pizza. There was enough trace gluten on his glass that she spent the next 24 hours in the bathroom.
We are having a hard time getting her the right nutritional balance and I was wondering if she could eat sprouts.
I talked to a major supplier of sprout seeds and they said that almost all seeds are processed in facilities that also process wheat.
But I wondered if the very process of sprouting where you are constantly rinsing the seeds and sprouts that you would be washing away any trace amounts of the gluten that might be on the beans or alfalfa seeds and sprouts.
