Gluten Free Steak Mash and Gravy
Gluten Free Steak, Mash and Peas
Ok, So I know this gluten free meal is simple enough that any one could make it... but I think my secret is in the Gluten Free Gravy... it was Delightful.
What You Need
4 Potatoes
2 Steak
Steak Seasoning
Frozen Peas
Butter
1 Table Spoon Gluten Free Flour
1/2 teaspoon Massel Chicken Stock
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic
Salt & Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Basil
1 Pinch Paprika
1 Pinch Cumin
1 Table Spoon Gluten Free Soya Sauce
1 Teaspoon of Chipotle Sauce (gives it its flavour)
Peel the potatoes, chop into quarters, then boil until cooked.
The Gravy
Melt Butter in a pan, sprinkle over flour and chicken stock until it bubbles and sizzles, add the soya sauce and stir in. Pour a little of the potato water in and stir. Combine Garlic, Basil, Salt Pepper, Cumin, and Chipotle Sauce and Stir Until thick, Slowly add water until you get it to the right consistency, stirring out any lumps with a fork. (can go thick and lump to start off, but the key is to slowly add liquid and stir it constantly.
Coat the Steak in Master foods Steak Seasoning (make sure its gf, my pack was but sometimes these change) and cook to your preference.
Microwave the peas until cooked.
Drain the Potatoes, then add a little butter and sprinkling of chicken salt, and mash until smooth and creamy.
Serve on a hot plate with lashings of the tangy gravy... Delicious! Comfort Food.
