When I look back through my life, my energy was always low, but I got to the stage of struggling out of bed, and only being able to do anything until lunch time. They I just lay around until I forced myself up to make dinner.
My wind got worse, then stomach pains and diarrhea every day realized I needed to keep a food diary and go to the doctor.
Before I got there my appendix burst.
A year later I had a small section of bowel removed as the polyp would turn to cancer.
It was in between these two operations (since I was still reacting to food)that I went gluten free and these problems went away. The times I still had a small reaction made me realize I couldn't tolerate quantities of other things like coconut and lactose. I recognized these intolerances including wheat from reading Eat Right 4 Your Type.
I am wheat and lactose intolerant and Rodney Ford diagnosed my daughter as coeliac.
Now my energy levels are almost normal for my age, I'm running my own Interior Design business, have been tramping several times, and definitely up and about all day.
Life is as it should be.
Thank you so much for this site, I regularly cut and paste sections into my own Gluten Free file. I have forwarded this to several people who have had to go gluten free - to try and help them get started - i.e. "what can I eat, I'm starving?"
Good luck
