Is budweiser beer gluten free?

This is a question I have heard used a lot in various gluten free forums and websites. America have different labellings standards to of there gluten free food and beverage then New Zealand.

So Is budweiser beer gluten free?

write to the companies

i think we should write to beer companies and tell them to take out barley and malt. they don't need that stuff in it and it would be so much easier for us people to deal with

No budweiser beer is not completely gluten free

Due to the difference in labellings standards Between NZ and America there can be some misconception about the amount of gluten found in Beer.. and in particular Budweiser.

While it meets certain criteria to be considered gluten free, it still contains it, just under the threshold for labellings requirements.

If you would like a gluten free beer, you could try the new Redbridge beer made is sorghum or O'briens an Australian brand,(O'briens is stocked in a number of NZ supermarkets.
