always check the label...if it's foreign and not labeled, it may not be worth the risk! better to use a miso that has all ingredients listed (the same goes w/ MSG too). I found out the hard way that the Korean bean paste that I used to love has flour added, so now I've switched to plain miso!! happy cooking!

You have to check the lables as some are made from barley and are not gluten free. The rice and soy miso is gluten free and safe
