Using Stoneware for Gluten Free cooking

by Lauri
(Tigard, OR)

My son was just diagnosed with Celiac. Can I use my stoneware I've had for years to cook his gluten free food on and be sure it's safe??

Thanks.

As long as your stoneware is glazed it should be absolutely safe to use for your coeliac son. I have Temuka brand stoneware that I had years before my diagnosis and I use it several times a week with no ill effects whatsoever.
