My husband love baking bread so this morning he got up early and started to make the hot cross bun recipe that I got from your site.
The mixture was very sloppy, and they turned out very dry and hard, we went over and over the recipe to see what went wrong as he always gets good results, we did put in a real egg and used cows mild and oil.....
he also looked up Shirley Bradstocks' Hot Cross bun recipe which he as used before in the bread maker and the measurements were exactly the same.
The only difference was the eggs, and gluten free flour.
Can you tell us where we went so horribly wrong or whether there texture is suppose to be sloppy like a muffins mixture? He really was hoping this would help me....
Look forward to hearing from you.
